Evidence Based
Before taking action, we dig into scientific literature and consult experts and local people to ensure our approach reflects the latest evidence. We also work closely with Conservation Evidence to continually improve our decision-making processes.
Monitoring Results
For each project and area we manage, we aim to design a monitoring strategy that rigorously evaluates impact while remaining cost-effective and focused on meaningful action on the ground. New tools like drone mapping, eDNA, and bioacoustics are helping us achieve this.
Generating Evidence
Each project is a learning opportunity, so we do our best to design, evaluate, and report on our efforts with enough rigor to inform future work. We share the data we collect for others to explore, whether that's a success or failure, and where possible, we publish in scientific papers.
Innovating New Techniques
Ideas for restoring nature better and more affordably are everywhere, but they're rarely tested rigorously. We promote innovation through field trials led by our on-the-ground teams and our dedicated innovation grant programme.

About Us
At Mossy Earth we are proudly bootstrapped and fiercely independent. We never took on debt, external investments or philanthropy money and because of this we never rushed things. This means we've built our organisation slowly but steadily. And we think this is one of the reasons we have attracted an amazing team that is truly passionate about bringing back wild ecosystems.
We are very proud of this wonderful group of people we have brought together. They are technical and methodical in their work and independent and reliable in their decision making. They put their all into this work and somehow still have energy to make us laugh and smile every day.
