Average Lifetime Carbon Negative Offset

Regular price £14,000.00 Sale

Offsetting your lifetime CO2 emissions and becoming carbon negative is a bold act in living sustainability, but by no means a license to pollute.

There are many factors which can influence your lifetime CO2 footprint including your country of origin, your habits and ultimately how long you live. We can work with you on assessing your lifetime carbon offset, however, we have decided to offer an easier solution based on average CO2 emissions. You can read more about the calculations here. We have decided we are comfortable guaranteeing this service at 1800 mt CO2.

We do not expect you to make such a purchase decision in a rush. It is a big step and it is a lot of money too. Please feel free to Contact Us and we can set up a call with Duarte or Matt (the co-founders) to discuss all details in becoming carbon negative.

Our commitment to you is taken extremely seriously, as such we work to the Mossy Earth promise (see below). In addition, we pride ourselves on delivering the utmost level of transparency and trust, and so each Annual Lifetime Carbon Negative Offset comes with:

Video Call   The option to call a team member to discuss the project details

Map Icon   A photo & GPS coordinate for each one of your trees

360 icon  A quarterly 360° video & photo of your project area

The Mossy Earth Oath

1. It is our promise replace any trees lost within the first 36 months.

2. Every Autumn, for the first five years, we will record biomass measurements to evaluate the average CO2 stored per tree. If we are below our target sequestration rate, we will make up the deficit by planting additional trees.

3. We always plant a 30% surplus of trees throughout our projects to surpass any loss of trees or inconsistencies in carbon negative calculations.

More than just trees

... a home for wildlife

Whether we posses an innate tendency to connect with nature or not, forests are vital to our survival. As home to the biggest plants on the planet, they give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilise the soil and give life to the world’s wildlife. Planting a forest is the most beautiful and yet simple way to make a real environmental difference in terms of reforestation, rewilding and offsetting your carbon footprint. Moreover, to leave a forest as your legacy for future generations to enjoy is a truly selfless gift.
